Timothy Wayne-Wright: Vocal Ensembles Masterclass

The King's Singers countertenor, Timothy Wayne-Wright will be visiting the School of Music to present this very special vocal ensembles masterclass.
Taking time off from performing with the internationally acclaimed British a capella group, Timothy will share his experience and expertise with selected vocal ensembles, together with a Q&A session. This is an exclusive opportunity to see the distinguished singer in action as he puts the evening's participants through their paces, coaching the art of ensemble singing. Promising to be a very popular event, early bookings are essential!
Auckland Opera Studio February Concerts
Francis Wilson's Auckland Opera Studio will present two concerts in February, featuring The Shades, a quartet of beautiful Tongan and Samoan voices.

Musical Theatre Masterclass with Helen Medlyn
Sunday 15 October, 2.00-5.00pm
"Helen Medlyn is a girl who’s hard to define. She’s a self-described Jill Of All Trades, having been a jazz chanteuse, a dancer, an actress, a musical theatre performer, a narrator, a comedienne, a classical concert singer, a voice-over artiste, an opera diva and a cabaret entertainer...sometimes, all in the same performance."
AND SHE CAN TEACH! So come and watch her in action working with 6 Musical Theatre singers. She will focus on acting and presentation using her unique performance enhancing techniques.
This event is a professional development opportunity for any voice teacher, student or member of the public. It will be held in the Samuel Marsden Collegiate Cultural Centre.

NZ Singing School June Masterclasses
The New Zealand Singing School:Te Wānanga Toi Waiata is pleased to announce that in partnership with the University of Otago Department of Music, Theatre and Performing Arts, two vocal masterclasses will be held on Thursday 15 June, 7pm at the Havelock North Function Centre, Hawkes Bay.
The University of Otago’s William Evans Associate Professor in Voice, Judy Bellingham and Professional Practice Fellow in Performance Voice, Arlie McCormick, will each lead a masterclass, which will be run concurrently.
- $30 participants (20 to 30-minute session each)
- $10 observers
- Participants must provide their own accompanist or backing music.
- Places are strictly limited to six participants per class.
