Do you have questions? Do you lead or want to start a choir at your school? What makes a good children’s song? How can I get great singing tone? What keys and chords suit young voices best? What should I do with my hands?
Primary Gestures, offered nationwide by the New Zealand Choral Federation, is a one-day workshop for people involved with or wanting to be involved with children’s singing and choirs. This year’s workshop presenter, Megan Flint is a dynamic, experienced and effective practitioner with a supportive, clear teaching style. This workshop would also be a great kick start if you intended to participate in The Kids Sing primary schools singing festival, to be held on November 15 & 16 at St Marks School.
- be inspired and assisted to better understand children’s voices.
- learn how to choose songs that suit the voice ranges of children.

- meet others wanting to help children develop the craft and art of singing.
